Hello! I'm currently creating my list of teacher recommendations for my Georgetown application. How many recommendations are we supposed to have? I want to make sure I have the right number, so any guidance would be great. Thanks!
9 months agoHello! Georgetown University requires that you submit three letters of recommendation with your application. One of these letters should be from your high school counselor, while the other two should be from your teachers. Ideally, choose teachers who know you well and can speak about your academic strengths, personal growth, and contributions to the classroom.
It's essential to have strong teacher recommendations, so make sure to select teachers who will provide detailed, positive evaluations of your performance. If possible, select teachers from different subjects that align with your intended major or areas of interest. For instance, if you plan to study social sciences, it would be beneficial to have one recommendation from a humanities teacher and another from a social sciences teacher.
Remember to give your teachers and counselor plenty of time to write the recommendations, so they can put together thoughtful and well-crafted letters on your behalf. Good luck with your Georgetown application!
