We must receive all requested items by our application deadlines. After reviewing your application, we will let you know if we require additional information. Because we typically require four to six weeks to review all applications, we strongly encourage you to apply well in advance of the deadline.

First-Year students applying for the Spring Semester should submit their application by December 1st to receive a decision by December 15th.
First-Year students applying for Summer Courses should submit their application by June 1st. UNCG Summer Courses are split into Summer I and Summer II. Apply earlier if you wish to take Summer I classes.
Former Students are those who were previously enrolled at UNCG, but have stepped away from pursuing their degree for one or more reasons. Learn more about the requirements for readmission and deadlines by visiting our Former Students page.

Second Degree students applying for the Fall Semester should submit their application by July 15th.
Second Degree students applying for the Spring Semester should submit their application by December 1st.
Second Degree students applying for Summer Courses should submit their application for Summer Session 1: May 1st; for Summer Session 2 – June 1st.
A Visiting Student is defined as a student currently attending a home institution other than UNC Greensboro (UNCG) but who seeks to take a course or courses at UNCG. Learn more by visiting our Visiting Students page.
Visiting students must apply at least two weeks before the first day of classes each semester. For summer, please note there are two sessions (Summer I and Summer II) with different start dates for each. View the appropriate academic calendar here.
Please note that Former Students cannot apply for admission as a Visiting Student.
