CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — The Medical University of South Carolina appears to be caught up with scheduling people to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
In an update to patients on Monday, MUSC announced that it had completed scheduling vaccine appointments for all waitlisted patients over the past week.
With this news comes the announcement that additional appointments may now be scheduled, and that more appointment times will become available as the supply improves.
Starting on March 31, all South Carolinians aged 16 and older will be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. These patients will be able to schedule their appointments as of that day.
MUSC is currently administering both the Pfizer vaccine and Moderna vaccine. The provider said that if it receives supplies of the one-shot Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) vaccine, that it will distribute that as well.
As of March 25, MUSC Health has administered 152,540 COVID-19 vaccinations.
